Fifth Conference (2025)
On 8 May 2025, the fifth conference of the Joint Master's Programme will take place for the first time in Pécs as the culmination of the Joint Lecture series of the academic term of 2024/2025. The topic of the lecture series and conference is "Environment(s): Literary, Cultural and Linguistic Perspectives". The conference will be a hybrid event, allowing students from all partner universities to attend it.
Fourth Conference (2024)
The fourth student and alumni conference returned to Bamberg as its venue on April 25, 2024, under the title "Diversity: Linguistic, Cultural and Literary Aspects". A large number of presentations - from Diversity in Linguistics and Perspectives on Dis/ability to Gender and Queerness, Ethnic and Political Diversity in Literature and other topics - provided a multifaceted insight into a wide range of research areas.
Third Conference (2023)
The fourth conference of the European Joint Master's Programme was held in 2023, in Krakow.
Second Conference (2017)
On June 22, 2017, the second student and alumni conference of the European Joint Master's Programme in English and American Studies took place in Bamberg for the first time. The topics ranged from gender roles in the literature of Anne Wilke's and Jack Kerouac to linguistic hunting for genes or an analysis of the morphology of Nigerian Pidgin and depictions of class and tradition in American cinema.
First Conference (2015)
Graz served as the venue for the inaugural student and alumni conference of the European Joint Master's programme. The topics of the conference covered aspects from literary, linguistic and cultural studies including but not limited to American Invertentionism, Lady Macbeth's role in Shakespeare's play Macbeth as well as contemporary Anglophone Novelists of the West African diaspora.
