Sports courses in the Summer Semester 2025
You will find the University’s sports program for the summer semester 2025 on this website.
The courses are open to all international (visiting) PhD students and international (visiting) scholars researching and teaching at the University. All courses require a registration and cost a fee.
Important information on booking the courses:
- Booking Start Date: Online registration for the courses will begin on a staggered basis from Thursday, April 03, 2025, at 11 a.m. via this website: https://www.buchsys.de/bamberg/angebote/aktueller_zeitraum/index.html
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. - Course Registration: Please note: Bookings cannot be made via mobile phone unless you have a SEPA direct debit mandate from a previous semester. In the registration form you can choose between two registration categories: Students (“Studierende”) or Staff (“Mitarbeitende”). For those of you who are enrolled as students, please select the ‘Students’ (“Studierende”) category. You must then enter your matriculation number. All others please select the category ‘Staff’(“Mitarbeitende”). If there are any problems with the registration, please write an email to the Sports Centre (usz(at)uni-bamberg.de), preferably from a University of Bamberg email address (if available). Please mention in the email that you are an international (guest) doctoral student or (guest) researcher and that you have been informed about the offer by the Welcome Centre. The Sports Centre will then try to find a solution.
- Venues: Please note the venue when booking. Courses are held at external venues as well as at the University's two sports facilities in Feldkirchenstra?e and Volkspark.
- SEPA Direct Debit Scheme: Payment can only be made by SEPA direct debit. To register, you will need to complete a SEPA form with your bank details and the fee will be debited from your account.
Translations: Unfortunately, the individual course offers and descriptions are only available in German. We hope that you will be able to translate them into English using e.g. Google Translate. Thank you for your understanding.
