The programme can be divided into obligatory, semi-obligatory and choice elements. Classes, lectures and field training usually take up three semesters, while the fourth semester is devoted to the M.A. thesis. All students are strongly recommended to discuss their individual study programme with the administrator of the study course.

The M.A. can also be studied part-time, meaning that the regular duration will be extended to eight semesters.
